Dry Pond's Jumping Jenna
Jenna has a rich chocolate coat and the classic Labrador look. Jenna's perfect health clearances and Excellent hips provides the foundation for our great breeding program. She is a go-getter in the field, great marking ability with a strong retrieving desire. She hits the water with enthusiasm and is a strong swimmer. Jenna has a very laid back personality, but can switch into high energy mode. She is a great companion, family member, house dog and an exceptional Mother to her puppies. Her pups are intelligent, easy to train, are eager retrievers and have a great temperament for the family, field or competition. Jenna was retired from our breeding program in 2018 and will remain as the matriarch of our program. She is the grandma to all of the puppies raised here and is a huge part of our puppy rearing program. All puppies interact with Jenna around the age of 5 weeks of age as they learn about other dogs besides their own Mothers.

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we had to say goodbye to our Jenna on Friday, May 17th. Jenna was 4 months shy of her 14th birthday. Jenna was our first chocolate, and little did we know 13+ years ago that she would change the landscape of our lives to where it is now. She is the foundation of our breeding program, Dry Pond Retrievers and often referred to as the Queen and Matriarch. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and for generations to come.
Over the last few weeks Jenna did her favorite things……took a ride in the gator around the property, walked to the pond for a swim, ate popcorn and ice cubes when she wouldn’t eat anything else.
Rest In Peace Baby Girl, we love you and you will be missed more than you know.
